Installation Information

This page gives some information on the installation of the various VitraGroup products. Please contact us if you require more detailed installation instructions.

For Tunnel Lining, Bridge Cladding and Noise Walls please contact Specialists or VitraGroup.

VitraPanel® - Pre-Finished Compressed Fibre Cement

Exposed (Face) Fixings

Refer to baseboard manufacturer's instruction for details (available through VitraGroup)
Fastener options are detailed in the VitraGroup fastener specification data.

Variable joint width from 5mm-40mm.
A detailed manual is provided.

* Other fasteners require approval from VitraGroup.

Concealed Fixing

Some projects can be fixed with 3M VHB tape and structural adhesive such as Dow Corning 795.
Advice should be sought from VitraGroup

Curtain Walling

VitraPanel® can be installed into regular curtain wall glazing systems and shop fronts as single or double sided panels.

Sun Screens

A variety of different forms- sunblade, sun hoods, shades can accommodate VitraPanel®.

VitraPanel® Interior ™ - Pre-Finished Timber Panelling

Different fixing methods such as Split-batten, Quick-fix or structural adhesive systems are sometimes employed.
Many joint detail options can be employed such as square edged recessed joints, butt joining, bevelled edges, aluminium inserts, etc.
Corners can be butt, expressed, mitred or inverted. Aluminium angles available for inverted corners. Decorative fasters are also an option

Easy Eaves™ - Pre-Coated Fibre Cement Eaves Lining Sheets

Fixing details as per sheet manufacturers specification.

VitraColor™ - Pre-Finished Profiled Metal Cladding

Installation should be according to manufacturer's specifications.
Attention should be focused on the special needs of individual profiles (mini orb is installed with ripple-tek fasteners).
Advice should always be sought from VitraGroup Technical staff.
